Omeprazole 20 mg is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It provides effective, long-lasting relief from frequent heartburn (occurring 2 or more days per week). Results may take 1ΓÇô4 days, with full effect within 14 days.

Take one 20 mg tablet once daily before eating. Swallow whole ΓÇö do not crush or chew. Use for 14 days. Do not use for more than 14 days without consulting a doctor.

Common side effects: headache, stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting. Long-term use may affect magnesium and vitamin B12 levels. Consult a doctor before use if you have trouble or pain swallowing food, are vomiting blood, or have had heartburn for 3+ months.
